At Breckenhill we use Splatmaster guns which are safer for kids aged 8 and up, but still pack a punch. They can fire paintballs up to 100 feet and face protection is compulsory. We have now fitted magazines which hold 50 paintballs.
We have two paintball zones, the first zone is where players are introduced to the guns by first shooting at targets and then by “run the gauntlet” where they first experience shooting at each other. We are now doing Night-time Paintball with head torches and gun torches – its fantastic fun.
We then move into the main play areas and play games such as capture the flag. In the second area the cover is denser and the games more tactical.
The Breckenhill Newtonabbey Venue is in County Antrim in Northern Ireland, on the north shore of Belfast Lough just immediately north of Belfast.

What the difference between paintball and splatmaster?
Think of it like “kid-friendly” paintball. Younger players 8 + will play a variety of different paintball style games, but with guns that shoot about half the speed of a regular paintball gun. These guns are spring-loaded and fire at a velocity of 150 FPS, which is about half the speed of a standard paintball gun. At this rate, you can see your ammo fly through the air before you get the satisfaction of seeing your splat.

Unlimited paintballs are supplied in your two hour session.
What Equipment Is Supplied?
Each player will receive a rental gun, ammunition, and a mask. Splatmaster private groups come with chest protectors at no charge.
